Almost three years ago I was freelancing with a yarn import company in South Florida. I have always been a big knitter (I’ve sold sweaters on Duke of Gloucester Street in Williamsburg, VA). I was thumbing through a knitting magazine and ohmygod!....came across a picture of alpaca.

I knew of their fleece but had never seen them before! I fell in love immediately! Being a country girl at heart and a huge animal lover (I’m coming back in my next life as a vet), I began my plans….I now have a wonderful 11-acre “mini-farm” in central North Dakota. I have read many books (mostly written by Mike Safley) and taken some WONDERFUL classes at Northwest Alpacas in Hillsboro, Oregon. I am extremely excited about my future with the wonderful world of alpacas!
